Considering Stripe as a next move, and couldn't find answers to a couple of specific questions when I searched Blind: - How are the offices? I'd want to be in the NYC office, curious about food / gym / other amenities - Does Stripe do education reimbursement? Currently doing my M.S. part time partially funded by G, definitely don't want to lose that TC: 240k
Stripe was in the middle of planning to move the NYC office out of a WeWork and into a bigger space when the pandemic hit. A lot of it is still up in the air for now. Definitely not as well-established in NYC as the Google/FB offices. Also, depending on YOE, might be tough to land an NYC offer to begin with - they seem to mostly be recruiting for more senior roles.
125/mo wellness benefit for gym etc. No education benefit
We do have an education benefit via conferences or learning material but not enough to pay tuition if that’s what you were hoping for
I only want to work somewhere that pays for all my student loans, credit card debt, and pays my rent for me.
I mean, I dont feel *entitled* to all the good shit. But if I've already got it where I am (especially the tuition reimbursement, NYU is $$$), no sense in leaving if it means giving that stuff up lol.
Yeah what you said makes sense - keep covering your school as long as you're not unhappy with Google.
There's 401k matching though
Does Stripe have an Avis discount for leisure rentals? Currently saving $200 per day with the MSFT corp discount. Substantial for somebody who rents regularly.
Only g have such a great benefit
Ahem ahem. Microsoft gives 10k a year as well! G is definitely good but not everything :)
