Choosing between next internship for summer 2024. For reference I am a sophomore graduating in 2026. Leaning towards Asana because I heard they have a strong culture / wlb / ro rates and have been hearing bad things about stripe. They both pay similarly for intern and pay isn’t a big deal to me for internships. I am mostly looking for what would be better resume value / better overall company to work for. TC: N/A I go to a top school in Canada if that helps #asana #stripe #internship
Disagree with the part that you don’t do much at Asana as an intern, you definitely will but people are respectful of the 9-5/10-6 working hours. If you want to do more product-centered work, it’s def the way to go (though there are also infra teams and theyre good at matching your preferences!)
I really liked the people I worked with at Asana but it's definitely a culture of very slow change. Didn't always feel like I was able to ask questions in meetings out of fear of timing. I would say it's great people under less great management but also very team dependent.
Muh prestige 🤡

Stripe looks better on your résumé. But people who work here love to hate it. Most of our problems are due to pre-IPO.
How much worse would you say asana is on a resume. Or would the value be roughly similar with stripe having a slight advantage
I think the difference is pretty big. There’s a pretty long list of companies between stripe and asana. I would say there are at least one tier apart. I’d rather have Amazon than Asana.
