Peaceful Protest Hasn’t Worked and Has Been Met With Aggression.
Stripe rescind my offer 2 weeks before my start date. I even finish some onboarding tasks in workday. I was laid off before so super excited when I got the offer, but they took it all away with a 3 minute recruiter call quoting “not a good fit” 2 weeks after I accept the offer. I rejected another company offer to accept stripe offer and wish I didn’t. Now I am trying to see if I can get It back. Honestly, I don’t know what to feel. I am in a mix on confusion, frustration and disbelief but I am trying to focus on next steps. If anyone is willing to help out referral, I would appreciate it. Thank you. Just reach out to the old company whom you rejected. Have a conversation with the recruiter and tell him that the plans have changed. These things happen enough that recruiter are mostly aware and understanding. He will work it out with the company and the hiring manager. You will probably get the similar offer. If not then that is a shit company. Things happen. Don't be worried. If you are not extremely unlucky you should get the older offer
Thanks for the advice. I did reach out to the old hm but haven’t heard back. Finger crossed.
Did they send you an offer letter and you signed it and they rescinded the offer?
Thanks for the post. Will avoid stripe in future
Did you already sign the offer?
The answer for this question is literally in the title
Wtf! That is so bad. I was in the loop, and got ghosted because I wanted to schedule the on-site 3 weeks out. Not going near Stripe anytime soon
You should post it on LinkedIn
Op ^^ do this. Post link here. We all will make it viral
how did that happen lol. that is wild. wonder if there is more to the story
Which org, and location?
Yes, name and shame!
holy shit - fuck these companies. Seriously, people, going forward you need to have no loyalty or consideration for these assholes. They do not give a shit about people or their employees.
How does that happen
Recruiter call saying leadership didn’t think it was a good fit even though the offer was approved by them initially.
