Trying to decide between Sony WH-1000XM4 Vs Bose NC 700 Vs Bose QC35 II. Take a lot of calls on Zoom and need a decent/good mic with the best bang for the buck
The XM4 mic is pretty terrible although the sound quality is amazing. Bose has very good mics which removes a lot of the background noise; sound quality is great but not amazing. I just did my research to buy during Thanksgiving ๐
QC35 or nc700? Qcs are cheaper so prefer that if quality is comparable
NC700
I have the Sony and the Airpods Pro. For music and noise cancellation, the Sony is the best. However, the microphone seems not on par, and sometimes, people had difficulties hearing me in meetings. People are complaining about this issue on different forums. I compared them with the QC when I bought the XM3 before, and the Sony was better to me. You can still buy the XM3 at a very good price, and there is not much difference between it and the last gen XM4 (at least the quality of the audio seems very similar to me, but the battery last longer ...) For meetings, the Airpods are way better, and they are barely noticeable on your ears. I tried them for music and they did pretty well. Did not try noise cancellation yet. They were discounted at Cosco and Walmart recently with a pretty good deal I may seem biased because I'm at Apple, but believe me, it's a nice piece of hardware.
Qc2 mic is awful unless under very ideal conditions. Just replaced it as my daily driver for meetings and work because it was so finicky
Clip on mic brands are A+. My friend has one and he sounds great.
Can you elaborate which ones these are
Sony has better noise cancelling which is more useful when you want to block out noise.
I just use AirPods ๐คท
Don't have a iOS device and feel kinda weird using it on a windows machine ๐
Good point!
