Hi, I have a swe offer from jp morgan, I wanted to know which team is good CIB or CCB, how does the green card filing process work? Is there annual salary raise? What is the tech stack? Please help me out here #engineering #software #swe #jpmorganchase Tc 130k Bonus 20k Yoe 4
I have heard CIB has better bonus … Annual salary raises are peanuts unless you’re promoted to the next level. Tech stack is mostly Java, Kafka , Cassandra , AWS. Do you mind if I ask what level were you hired for ?
602
CIB is still stuck on monolithic applications…
If you are on visa do your research before accepting.
Yes , All these comments are really helping me
I am CCB, and it is not really good here. A lot of micro-managing and micro work. Green card filing: Depending on your level and at least after 3 years of your H1B. I mostly see people get filed after 5 years of H1B. Salary raise: Depending on the team. My team get ~ 0-3% raise annually. Tech stack: Pretty outdated. No AWS or cloud database in my whole department of ~ 100 members. Bonus: JPMC won’t match your retirement contribution during your first year. The health insurance is pretty expensive yet mediocre (worse than my student health insurance).
CIB and CCB are orgs with several teams within them. GC filing will be done when you are near the limit of 6 years - Usually in 5th year. Annual salary raise is mostly 🥜 . Different teams uses different tech stacks. I have seen heavy use of Java, Python, Cassandra, Kafka. The push is now to go to AWS.
