I want to switch to product. I have a minor in CS from a top target undergrad and consider myself technically savvy. In recent months with slower tech hiring I’ve seen consultants are gaining a bad reputation when switching to PM as they don’t bring the right skills to the job. How can I work around this when gunning for these jobs? I know I have the skills tech companies look for but feel consultants may get auto disqualified.

What does it mean to have a bunch of McKinsey contractors hired in "strategy" roles
Probably look for a more traditional company first as they still like consultants. But probably want to demonstrate how you see things through from beginning to end. Since consultants have a reputation of ‘I come up with the plan and someone else’s issue to actually execute on it’
Probably sound advice.
Probably didn’t need to add troll comment
