Hi! **Making this post for a friend. My friend recently had to quit from a foundry he was working at, at senior management level (dept manager/dir). He has 7 years of experience in quality engineering/ continuous improvement/lean manufacturing. He wants to switch to tech manufacturing roles. So far all the connection requests he sent out to recruiters, mostly don’t get a response. If he does get a call back from the recruiters, it goes really well, they say he’s a good fit for the role, etc etc, but then no hiring manager call. If he reaches out to hiring managers on LinkedIn, they say they will ask their Hr to get in touch with him, but then nothing. So really what the question here is that we want to understand what are we missing in this process. How to really approach this, so that we can see some offers sooner. People who did make the transition, how did you go about it? What helped? The fact that he is on H1B also doesn’t help the situation. Any leads, or referrals will also help! Thank you #interview #auto #tech #manufacturing #leandata #recruiting #sqe #qualityengineer #amd #tesla #samsung #amazon #lucidmotors

I was in a similar position as i worked in a foundry for almost 6 years. What finally worked for me was trying to quantify my achievements in terms of cost, time, labor ,quality improvements as these things translate well across industries. Feel free to dm if you want me to look at his resume
