Synopsys vs Broadcom
As a company, if TC is the same, which company would you work at and why?
Depends of the group, product. If the margin is good and TC is same there is no better company than SNPS. Like PHY IP group in SG is a good place to be. But in long term it may be hard to switch jobs, as you would not learn enough.
I’m surprised Synopsys matched Broadcom pay. How many yoe ?

I would like to suggest to work on SOCs instead of tool. Also which group your going that will matter. For eg if you are going in cad group your carrier mostly inclined to methodology and scripting.
Depends on wether your long term career aspirations are in tool development (Synopsys) v/s doing design/Val (Broadcom). Also would depend on what role and growth prospects you are going to be offered at both places. Best wishes. Let us know which one you picked.
