Hey folks, reveal the truth about what is (are ?) the best resource to learn system design principles for interviews ? Assuming no exposure to complex systems, aka 0 YOE and few internships. Vote for the best, no BS. Multiple selection is possible. PS: if your choice is YouTube channels or if not listed, please leave a comment. TC: None
I think it's very difficult without any hands on experience
I’m reading Designing Data-Intensive Applications
would u recommend it ? I don't wanna stretch outside what's reasonably required for interviews because of time constraints
Is it available online?
Which YouTube channels?
I used Grokking for my Google PM interviews. I'm not a CS background but have tech experience. Grokking was great for me and I had to start from scratch.
Also, once you have the basics down you can definitely use YouTube. Lot of good resources there.
🍿 Experience should be one of the options. I think it's the most important one.
Everyone's gotta start from somewhere
I agree. Also my bad. Didn't read the entire post. Just thought that experience was the best resource to learn system design.
