System Design Vs Product Design
I am having Virtual Onsite Interview for Meta coming soon and recruiter gave me choice for system design or product design interview. I am not sure which one I should choose as this is my first time giving design interview. This for E4 level so do I need to give high level design or something in depth? Also I am not sure regarding scheduling all the interviews on one day or should I split into two? Because recruiter told that the split will not guarantee that one day will only have coding and another day I can have design and behavioral. #engineering #software #swe
What’s the nature of product design interview?
Can you give samples for both types of interviews? Do product design like design messenger app and system design as in design throttling app?
I am also confused, I was interviewing for product and recruiter asked me my choose between product and system as I select system he put me into infrastructure SW rather then Product SW
If you are backend engineer both works however I always finds system design simpler for interviews. With good basics and prepare well grokking on educative you should be good
