What? Why do you expect a outrage on an economic crisis? Also, I think few countries have already extended financial assistance to Sri Lanka. And, this is exactly what happens when your democracy weakens. Outrage should have been ten years ago at the time of the state sponsored genocide and when they let a dictator take over.
I think the normal ppl there need support Outrage against freebies
India extended a loan and soon IMF will give a loan with all sorts of strings attached to it. Agree, common person shouldn’t suffer but they brought this onto themself by supporting a dictator and war criminal based on toxic nationalism and ethnicity based populism.
An economic crisis isn’t the same as an unprovoked invasion.
Because this is a self-inflicted crisis
Political class sold the country to China or to be specific ccp
China will buy them
And yet, india was the first country to give financial aid to Lanka.
It’s just economic coercion. If Sri Lanka didn’t take it, India would have invaded Sri Lanka
>The current Government of Sri Lanka, led by president Gotabaya Rajapaksa, made continuous cascading policy errors which resulted in a huge economic crisis for Sri Lanka. Doesn't sound like a good enough reason to help.
OP, I read about crisis in Sri Lanka and how even people from upper middle class family have hard time in cooking and eating food. Please update your original post with donation links others provide. When a war criminal runs the country and takes nepotism to another level, this is exactly what happens. Best outcome is for srilankan people to rise up and throw these war criminals out.
