Hi so I’ll be brief, I’m 26 turning 27. I graduated from NYU in 2018 with BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (basically NYU’s Gallatin School) with a 3.8 GPA. I don’t have any background in finance, but I’m realizing — after years of “soul searching” — that I think I want to be a consultant. I always heard of McKinsey, and so I really want to shoot my shot there. I’m African American, Latino, and Native American. I wanted to know what would be the best path to try my luck at entering this career? Should I first try to study for the GMAT to get a good score and hope to get into prestigious MBA program? I just want direction on how to essentially break into the industry and get into McKinsey. Thanks guys, I’m really determined for this.
Most top schools will have a well-developed pipeline to feed graduates into MBB.
Have you tried applying directly ?
If you came up with McK after "years of soul searching", you didn't find much soul.
lol.
Top M7 feeds MBB. FT MBA is your best bet. Research which m& they recruit from most by your industry. Good luck.
How is your laundry list of races/ethnicities relevant ? Sounds like a Troll post / race bait
MBA at a top school is your best bet.
🤔🤔 I see, so that’s probably the best bet huh? Okay noted
