The end of Backdoor Roth?!
Team – I’m reaching out today to share an update on our vaccination policy. We’ve entered a new phase of the pandemic, where cases, serious illness, and death rates have declined dramatically. In the U.S., cases and hospitalization rates have decreased significantly, by as much as 70% since January 2022 (CDC), and the Department of Health & Human Services says it will end the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency in May. This is great news for the health and safety of Team Magenta and our communities. Therefore, on April 1st, 2023, we’re updating our vaccine policy to adjust for this new phase of the pandemic. We will no longer require vaccination to work at T-Mobile or to enter T-Mobile buildings. This shift follows changes from other industry leaders, partners and customers that have already moved to mixed environments. All of our retail stores and many of our CECs and offices are successfully operating with mixed environments today. When we implemented our original vaccine policy, vaccination was the most effective means to protect our team. Simply put, it was the best way to keep this team safe. Today, many more preventions and treatments exist and are more widely available. The world has changed, and we’re updating our policy to reflect that. We still strongly encourage all employees and their families to get vaccinated and boosted. Vaccination is the best and most effective way to prevent serious illness and death from COVID-19. We will continue to contact trace and offer free on-site vaccination in all of our major offices. As always, we maintain our commitment to keeping this team safe and healthy. For questions, visit our Stay Healthy Together site on T-Nation or reach out to Employee Care. With this change, I know one of the main questions we'll hear is whether we're continuing our hybrid work policy. The answer is yes! With hybrid work, we get the best of both worlds - we have greater flexibility, we can tap into new talent, we can create team experiences, and we can elevate voices regardless of where they're working - at home, another office, in the field. Like many of you, I'm enjoying the flexibility this new normal brings, and I'm seeing the impact that team effectiveness has on our success. So, as a reminder, teams assigned to a T-Mobile office are expected to work from the office the majority of the time – at least three days on-site each week for most employees, and four days each week for executives (Director and above). Many teams are already doing a fantastic job, and in some areas, we've still got work to do. We appreciate this team’s commitment to working as One Team, Together, and we’re excited to welcome the full team back into the office. Deeane King 🤴 Wonder the kick backs that were given for pushing this mandate in order to maintain Joey's mandate of the vaccinated versus the unvaccinated. Meanwhile T-Mo didn’t mandate this against retail ME's along with 10 other front facing roles just Salaried RAMS and ASMs along with business side got forced out of jobs. This wasn't very uncarrier of them. #BEYOU #Staywoke #Legererules
