I don’t get it. Are people mostly lowballed or are they not getting any meaningful refreshers / raises? I’m relatively new but I know people in my org that got substantial refreshers to keep TC competitive.
That's just not true. Senior only gets 50k stock over 4 years. Is that significant in your opinion?
How do they get quality candidates then? People will leave often in case they get offer elsewhere
Exactly. My friend joined Tesla and is dying to get out of there. The issue is that there is so much work so it doesn't leave any free time to prepare for interviews.
The average Tesla tenure is around 2 years
My friend was offered 135k base / 175k rsu.
Is 155K base/180K rsu better at Tesla for senior software engineer?
180k for 4 years would be 45k per year. 200k Tc looks good
Get a FAANG offer and they’ll at least match.

That’s a random upper bound that doesn’t exist in reality, based on my experience.
