I was wondering how wide the pay gap is between Bay area and Texas. (For the same job family, level, etc) I am interested in the whole package, not just base salary.

For the exactly same position? Wouldn’t it be a bit too much?
Yes, no.
Really depends on the place some in Texas will major lowball you. The adjustment Col for same quality is probably about 20% + 50k that accounts for most taxes prices and home equity differences
Bay Area is the most expensive place to live in the US. I think they even beat NYC. Texas - super cheap. These job offers will be apples and oranges.

Where’s the option for >2x? Hard for me to believe someone can make $250k in Texas only a couple years out of school, this poll doesn’t seem right to me at all but I’m curious where this can happen since I have family there.
I agree numbers on this poll are too low
By the numbers,I meant the pay decrease from BA’s point of view, not increase from TX. So 250k in BA to 125k in TX would be 50%.
