in most banks VP is 2-3 levels below MD. It takes years to be MD. Other companies, like Amex VP is equivalent to an MD.

VP kind of spans levels 4 through 6 at Google or Facebook... With 11 YoE if they think you're good you could probably get some pretty decent money.

There’s no director or Executive Director title at GS. Your YOE puts you in SVP/Dir range you’re pretty well paid already would expect 10-20% bump max For everyone else in retail business your titles work in reverse Because they usually are combined to title & role. My friend with 7 yoe (3 of them in FAANG) got 600k TC for VP swe in NY at GS. Keep in mind that a majority of their TC (not the first year) is highly dependent on the performance and bonus, and their WLB is bad.
