TC for Samsung Deep Learning Engineer in Austin ?

Anyone have an idea of how much this pays? Recruiter was pretty tight lipped. Any idea how the work environment is? I've heard bad things about Samsung in the past. Austin, 6 YOE + PhD, TC=210

Samsung is a good brand but it is not the best company you can work for. If the TC is good, why not get the offer? But if you are unfamiliar with Korean/Asian working culture, it could be a bit of a pain. I grew up most of my life in Korea, finished my military service, worked there for three years before moving to Austin and still some things really suck.

Also, Samsung is basically not a SW company. But hey, at least you will build up a good resume and the perks are quite good. I’d say if the conditions are better than your current job, go for it. One thing though: there ain’t no stock options.
