TC for senior quant, good or bad?

Blind: Anything under 300K is 🥜 If you don't have anything else, it's an offer. You can probably do better, so keep interviewing. But if you don't have anything else, try to negotiate and accept the offer.

I saw a sell side BB quant research offered 200k on linkedin. But it listed tons shits of skills (DS + quant) I am sure buy side will be even more.

If that’s the salary for senior, I wonder how much mid and junior level get. I would expect that compensation for a junior position doing backoffice stuff in 2nd tier or no name company. Then again, if you don’t have anything better negotiate, take it and keep looking.
What exactly do you do in this quant job?
I model a commodity market and extract valuable information. Tools used are Python and Git, mainly.
Is it just plug and play python libraries to show graphs and trends or do they actually make investment decisions off your work? The pay wouldn’t match the impact of it’s the latter.
