Why does every in blind have much higher (self-proclaim) TC than glassdoor? Glassdoor tops at 200k TC while many in blind claim they have > 300k.
Contractor pay gets factored into Glassdoor averages. Things like rsu refreshers aren’t accounted for.
Glassdoor is compromised.
Glassdoor is recruiter friendly. Blind is employee friendly..
Glassdoor? What's that?
Glassdoor doesn’t reflect how salaries have increased over the years, just aggregates them all, hence why they look lower than actual/current.
Glassdoor aggregates old data as well, hence the innacurate data
Because there is no cross referencing the data on Blind so you can lie through your teeth. Glassdoor gets Employer feedback on salary data.
Isn’t that why Glassdoor isn’t necessarily in the best interest of candidates? Speaking from personal experience, data points in blind are far more accurate.
Yeah. people tend to be truthful when helping random stranger than negotiating the deal with other party.
I screwed myself over 2 years ago using Glassdoor. It’s base only and outdated at that. You have to pay attention to the last updated date and how many years the person has worked there (but I don’t think Glassdoor asks or tells). Current TC 140k, 5yoe because shitty Glassdoor. New TC 280k in a month when I start the new job. Believe Blind and levels.fyi is far more accurate.
Glassdoor is base-only which is useless
Not really. They have a page showing RSU and bonus as well.
Yes but you have to click to see it, and many people don't report it.
