I couldnt find good data on this (what I found was very low - 300k). anyone have a good source or idea on this? id picture a salary of 250k ish and another 200k stock at least.
To add a data point, I recently had an offer on the east coast for a VP Eng at a smaller public company that was $225k salary with 25% bonus, $500k initial grant, and $250k annual refresh.
Wow. That’s a lot of responsibility for that much money.
It wasn't a huge org, about 40-50 people, but I've done VP Eng on a slightly smaller scale at a startup. During our acquisition, I had to be the guy presenting for the technical due diligence for 12 hours over two days. _That_ was stressful.
It depends if u r fang it can be $8 million also
