What do you think will happen with H1B visas? Will salaries go up if a Republican government limits H1B visas or will they go down because technology doesn't have enough skilled workers? What are you hoping happens with H1Bs?
"I will end forever the use of the H-1B as a cheap labor program" Trump
I'm on H1B and there is part of those statements I actually agree with. We are an exploited lot - in my previous companies I have been in meetings where they low ball people on salaries and defer promotions for people on H1B cause they have a huge leverage on them. Maybe H1B needs to be abolished in favor of a more robust program with a clearer path to immigration.
i don't like trump and i like to dig and show all the bad stuff he has said about legal immigration and h1b. i couldn't find anything on him. all the things he has said is already enforced or inline with current policies. he is okay with legal immigration. this is what he actually said “I will end forever the use of the H-1B as a cheap labor program, and institute an absolute requirement to hire American workers first for every visa and immigration program. No exceptions,” you can't intrepret this as anti h1b.
h1b will be eliminated.
In no speech has he ever said he wanted to eliminate h1b.
Nothing drastic happens in democracies.. Ever
I think he'll make the h1b rules tighter, not abolish it. Can't afford to. Companies won't replace all those people with double/triple salaries here.
Trump is not stupid. He values an educated workforce
If it's abolished , part of the tech/Dev teams will be further Off-shored where the talent will end up going .
Lol some freaked out optimists here
Of course people are scared
I don't get it. If it becomes harder to find enough skilled worker, aka there is more demand than supply, won't the salary go high?
Enforcement of H1b rules.
stay the stay...
and yet I'm the uneducated
Are we talking to the same Nutella?
