Israel prevents Palestinians from gathering rainwater? Seems wrong on so many levels to me
It's been a long time since I last interviewed. Although I was lucky to get a good job, I hated the process. Interviewing again (especially in today's climate) seems even more daunting. Here are my concerns - Writing code on a white-board/doc without editor or compiler looks challenging - working on college-style programming problems seems futile - system design is a days (if not weeks) long process. Not sure how to condense it in 30 mins - behavioral/HR interviews shut me down. Those who interview ever so often --- how do you do it? How did you get over the mental block? It’s rightly referred as “leetcode tax” for a reason. Take all of these bullets and start practicing you’ll be better in a year.
Practice, that's literally all it is. LC and memory stuff. System design should come easier with experience
Recruiter here. With practice comes confidence. For HR interviews, try to think of what questions you’ll be asked and then practice your answers. For system design, some companies want you to describe a system you already have worked with, to see how well you understand it. More senior roles may have you design from scratch, but thinking about the systems you already know can help you structure your design.
For system design, I’ve made the following compilation. For the leetcode grind, I just do the weekly contest as a means of habit building. Only missed 4 or 5 in the past year. Problem of the day is nice until it’s a leetcode hard
