Raytheon vs NG

I’m currently coming up on 2 YOE with Boeing. I would enjoy the signing bonus and i really want a new change of enviroment. I feel like boeing doesnt allow for younger to develop. Raytheon, NG and others have been reaching out. so should I take the offers. also any other job suggestions would be fine. sidenote: also I do aim to one day interview at a FAANG company

If you are going for money and possibly a level boost, why not? If you are looking for change of environment, especially growing opportunities, then ngc and raytheon are not for you, as they are similar to boeing environment. I actially even heard from some of my colleagues that boeing is likely more supportive than ngc/raytheon, but ymmv. Maybe newer aerospace companies like relativity, rocketlab or spacex could be a good transitional point from old school environment to something more techy?

Thank you For the input, I was thinking about Spacex too, but Is the interview like the FAANG or like the traditional non coding interviews. Thanks again for the inputs it’s very much appreciated.

From my experiences, i think it is right in between. Depending on management and interviewers, but expect to code. Not gonna mention Spacex as I dont work there, but for my gig at vo currently, my interview was a 1/2 day to full day activity, with 1hr of my presentation about myself and scope of work, facility tour, 1.5 hr of coding test, 1.5 hr or technical grilling (some sw and hw architectural discussion) and an 1.5 hr of behavioral grilling/traditional interview question. They also asked for sample codes you wrote as well, in prior to interviews and if they feel like they need to grill you more, theyll setup another followup interview session to grill you more until they make a final decision.

Hello! I just received a verbal form Raytheon and I'm wondering if their sign on bonus due to my TS comes with a 1 or 2 year contingency to the company. I'm a current LM employee
