Hi everyone, I have 3 technical round interviews coming up for C3 AI’s Data Scientist role. I was wondering if anyone knows what to expect or how I should prepare? I know the third round is coding but it doesn’t sound like leetcode questions so not sure how to prepare. Update: Had all three interviews, all interviewers were really nice. First round is a case study, second round is machine learning questions - classification metrics, Adam’s optimizer, bagging and boosting. Coding is not leetcode, it’s numpy questions - like writing function to calculate F1 score for different thresholds. Hope this helps! TC: 0 (student) #interview #datascience #c3iot
I can’t help unfortunately but I didn’t like the screening call with a recruiter and decided not to continue. Aside from the role not being a great fit anyway, I wasn’t excited about the opportunity, there’s something weird about that company and their stock is in free fall. The recruiter had no answers to questions about company culture and values, and how they balance what they do on the tech side with the hardcore industries they support such as oil and gas. It seemed to not ever even cross their mind. Or maybe that recruiter just sucked. Anyway, good luck but it was weird.
You really asked that to a recruiter Why not save this for a hiring mgr lol
Haha, I like to ask the recruiters too. I don’t expect perfect answers but sometimes you uncover interesting things. The recruiter kind of agreed with me that it sucks the company has never thought much about their focus and how they want to partner with both traditional (oil and gas) and new (EV) industries. The recruiter also wasn’t able to answer anything about how the business is doing and that the stock price is concerning. All he said was - well I’m still here - very nervous laugh. Isn’t he supposed to sell the company to the candidate, talk about their exciting tech and new partnerships etc etc. He did zero of that and this was a senior role where this type is conversation is pretty usual even during the recruiter convo. This was a pretty bad impression and I didn’t want that role, it was not my core expertise/interest.(they reached out to me which is why I connected)
Avoid this company if you can. If you must, the rounds would be as follows: One round ML system design question (they ask a general ML problem you have to give an extensive and comprehensive solution) One round general ML, stast, probability One round coding
Reasons to avoid this company please?
Thank you! is the coding mainly leetcode problems? And why do you say to avoid the company?
Run in the opposite direction as far as you can..the company is huge scam and culture is toxic. Leadership sucks!!
Why do you say that?
Haha my impression during the interview seems to be correct.
