May 3rd I placed a long call on Tesla. They hit a two year, or so, low. If we just simply look at their company history they keep bouncing off around $240. So I watched while Tesla was dipping into 230’s. On may 3rd it continued to rise, and I added a call. Have made a lot of money on it so far! Hopefully Tesla continues its trend of bouncing off 240 and makes it back to 350 like the previous few times. Anyone else do similar?
Buy low, sell high
You’re all looking at the math too much. Have you driven a Tesla... lately? I bought a bunch of Amazon at $760 about 18 months ago. It’s currently at $1953... not too bad of an ROI. You want to know why I bought at that time? It’s because of the Echo Dot. It was evident that this was a game-changing technology and I noticed that the stores were having a hard time keeping them in stock. I recently rented a Model 3 for five days and it’s similarly game-changing. It’s a true 21st Century car. Everything else I’ve driven feels like an antique, now.
Nice! But I hate cars. They bore me. I care more about how old the company is and how consistent their profits are. Also return on investment is a bit different than return on risk. One is related to trading and one is related to investing. I got in on amazon at 740 ;) Friend of mine got in on Amazon at 350... He’s retired now 👀
When does it expire?
31st
40% is nice but TSLA is as moody as its CEO. Also the time value can disappear suddenly, just be careful esp. over the memorial day weekend...
I picked Country House to win the Derby. Now I get to pretend to be a racing expert. At least until my pick loses the Preakness
Too risky . Too much debt for the demand . It should pay off but risks there . How much you made of Tesla . Over 2 years I think I made 40 k but for now I am on sidelines .
I’ve made 40% return on risk so far!
40% of 0 is still 0
