HR told me annual stock refresh is 25% of onhire stocks if performance is meet all (can go up to 50% if strong exceeding) My offer letter is 5000 shares (senior pisition). Does it mean my annual stock refresh will be 1250 shares (~$150k) which will be vested over 4 years? This is insane considering its current stock price $120. It will beat FB and Goog. So I want to know true numbers.
Fake refresh number
Yeah, too high to be true. Some other post in blind said refresh is somewhere 50k to 90k in dollar amount. So I assume refresh should be 500 to 900 shares?
Right. Unfortunately, the RSU refresh is nowhere close to 25% of your hire grant. You can count on around $50k - $60k in annual refreshes
Are they options, or RSU?
Pretty sure stock grants are computed in dollars and they divide the target amount by recent share price to arrive at number of shares
Thanks. Then what hr told me is incorrect. Also I highly suspect that the $150k annual refresh which HR implied is true.
...not according to hanrahan up above?
How do you get offer from them? Is it hard to study like FANG?
Easier than GF, but harder than Amazon. 2 Leetcode mediums and 1 hard. And design is hard but I enjoyed it.
Refresh is different for everyone, there is no fixed numbers like G and FB. But yes, the initial grant beats G and FB, 5000 is 650k for SSE. Even if you dont get the max refresh, you will still be making more than than G/FB in your first 4 years.
What is normal range of refresh for seniors? Based on what recruiter said, it will be 1250*$120=$150k, which is too high to believe.
My senior offer 7 years ago was $90k of stock, not $650k. Have they started paying insanely better?
