I’ve been reading about target bonus in many TC posts so I have a question about it. When the recruiter says your target bonus is 20k or 20% and that if you perform better, it could br higher, how would you factor this into your TC calculation? Would it be included at all? Note: We don’t have the notion of target bonus in my current company, just equity refresher which i guess i have the same question about. Additonally, i think it is also important to consider if the comp team in the company would consider it included, since it matters when they review competing offers. So any inputs on that are welcome as well. Last yr TC: 240k (the refresher came in late last year, so i excluded it here) yoe: 4.5
Yes you normally include annual bonuses, as does the comp team, since most people get at least the target amount.
In 15 years I have never gotten less than 100% of target bonus
Assuming ur company will typically give >= 100% (which most do), then you def include it (and most on Blind have)

I would include base target only, personally. Bonus plans can go up or down depending on personal and company performance. You may get 110% or 90% personal performance bonus of a bonus pool that is funded 90% or 110% base on company performance etc. hard to quantify that.
