Interviewed with Google recently. Recruiter said feedback was mixed, 2 very good and 2 "not as desirable". I am going through the team matching phase now. I am having a hard time reading experiences on blind. Is there any chance for me considering I am a borderline case. Any tips on what to do? Do I have a shot here? YoE 2.5
I also had an on-site at Google last week and my recruiter said he's accumulating feedback and getting my candidacy ready for review by the HC in a few days No mention of team matching at all yet. What does that mean and why is it different for you?
I honestly dont know how many different ways this process works at Google but if the recruiter directly wants to put you through HC, then usually its coz they think you'll pass it coz have really good feedback. How were your interviews and did you get any feedback on them?
Recruiter didn't really give any feedback but from my own assessment, 1 was great, 2 were good, 1 was decent (solved first question didn't solve the hard follow-up), 1 was meh (couldn't figure out the caching mechanism for a dp recurrence problem to make it linear runtime)
Most likely downleveled if you pass HC.
Get a strong recommendation from a hiring team especially if you have relevant experience for that team. Also a lot of it is outside your hands most recruiters cant interpret feedback , how good is very good and if someone is rating you say 3/6 it may be because they judged too harshly. The hiring committe does take this into account and will if needed readjust it. The flip side is it the converse can also happen.
Thank you, this was very well explained
