Reversal is creating tension for workers who adjusted to flexibility gained during pandemic Tech companies that led the way in embracing remote work early in the pandemic are increasingly leading their workers right back to the office—whether they like it or not. Alphabet-owned Google, Lyft, Facebook parent Meta Platforms and Salesforce CRM have all recently walked back remote-work policies they originally set forth, or gotten serious about enforcing existing policies, after deciding that working in the office is more efficient and cost-effective. https://www.wsj.com/articles/tech-an-early-booster-of-remote-work-wants-people-back-in-the-office-6565b840
“Tech companies that led the way in embracing remote work early in the pandemic are increasingly leading their workers right back to the office—whether they like it or not.” Great; don’t care. I will continue to work remotely for as long as possible, even if I have to compete against thousands of others for one position. I refuse to go back to the office on the principle of not being paid enough to do so, and having my freedom of mobility restricted. As long as the work is being done on time and at a satisfactory level, let people work where they want. TC: 90K, fully remote forever
Congrats to fellow Bay Area home owners. Our housing prices will continue to appreciate with RTO!

Pinterest, that sounds amazing. Will my 2 million dollar home be valued at 8 to 10 millions in another 10 years?
Personally I like office. Better collaboration, less misunderstandings, faster communication, less screen time. WFH should be the exception not the norm.
But majority don’t like. So you go to office don’t force others by making it an exception
A same caliber in-house office team beats a remote team 9 times of 10
"Zuckerberg said engineers who joined the company in person and then went remote or remained in person performed better on average than those who joined the company remotely" Wtf Lmao doesn't this just read, "engineers who have been here longer are stronger". I mean, no shit?
