Hey, has anybody moved from tech company over to investment company? How does that work for you? I had an interview with Morgan Stanley about 3 years ago for their VP role. Cleared the onsite round, but didn't win over at HM. After that I ended up at a fin-tech startup(left lately for other reason), focusing on payment and funds movement, which I was enjoying it. With my current company, I am busy the whole time, however I just felt unsatisfied, although I am busy leading team, writing code, rotation on-calls and doing 40-60hr weekly shift. I still managed to squeeze time for 2 hourly tech contracts and 1 non-tech consulting gig. I think my record was about 80-100hr for 6 weeks until my wife told me to cut it. I thought about taking a second look at the finance world, however, unsure if there is any potential left for guy like me from insider perspective.
