Will tech salaries continue to stabilize and not increase like how it did in the past few years? It is interesting to see other careers like content creators (YouTube, Instagram, Tic Tok, Only fans) are starting to earn more than tech. #tech
Tech party is over. In the next decade, programmers will be paid with 🥜. Plumbers will be better paid than coders
Some already are
Coding will become a low-value trade skill, like it always should be
Content creator if you are successful is an entirely different ball game. You are essentially a one man media company, that's huge. But, that's only if you are in the top 1% of it. Tech salaries will grow but the major boom time is over i feel atleast in short/medium term
Why are tech bros so incapable of understanding that being a successful content creator is actually very difficulty. It’s not just uploading a video of yourself dancing or day in the life and then you get 1 million subs and brand deals…
Tech will still be the go place for easy six figure salaries over the long term, even with ChatGPT and automation looming. Content creation is a long shot gamble, and a heavy amount of luck and chance is needed to game the algorithm to not only go viral, but consistently break through each month. A young man around my age would have an easier time studying to break into FAANG as opposed to trying to make it big on social media. TC: 90K, early 20s
six figure is 🥜 in inflation
Exactly. Which is why tech will still be sought after the employer driven salary deflation effort.
A very small percentage of content creators actually make any real money. Do you know how many youtube channels never get past 10 views?
