Got a message from a recruiter for a Product Management opportunity at Tempo.Fit. She told me they raised Series C last year and the company is doing well financially with healthy runway. I would be interviewing for Lead PM / GPM level. How’s the company doing? Peloton just announced a layoff so I’m skeptical about the home fitness industry. They have several horrible Glassdoor reviews. How true are they? But Tempo raised a lot of money from interesting VCs. Is it worth a talk? TC 300k 8 YOE

Good lord don’t do it. They just laid off 30% of the company, all the good VPs and staff departed in this layoff, and the leadership team has absolutely no idea what they are doing. On top of that, culture is horrendous. I would know, I left. Seriously, don’t.
Anything they tell you is a lie. The founders and board just laid off 30% of the team after promising they wouldn’t in march. They have driven away all senior talent and have no idea what they are doing, unless you’re looking for somewhere you can try to make an impact but fail only because the immaturity and inexperience of the leaders who don’t listen.
