A 40 year old company that is trying to transform for the past 5 years but still has no clue. Leadership is in denial that Snowflake and other cloud providers are eating away their logos and still claim they are leaders in performance. Product management and development is a joke with incompetent leaders all the way from the top. Interim leaders for critical roles like Product development where the leader itself is the wife of a consulting firm that was hired by the board. There is no concept of ethics and everything is fair game. Product management leadership is also biased towards white and not having any indians as reflected by the recent layoffs primarily who were indians. The company will self implode and not any acquisition target. Constant leadership churn by blaming the fault on previous leaders. All good talent either leaving or asked to leave leaving only the bad apples. Ultimately that will come to bite them as now they will not have anyone left to blame but the bunch of people who created this enviroment within the company. They talk about their product removes data silos when they themselves operate in silos with zero transparency. Avoid at all costs even if they give a fancy title as the titles are also artificially inflated.
He is just 2 days in so hard to tell..however as you can see he does not have a rockstar profile...it is a good title again moving to C level so probably using this to build his resume and then move on...he is also not planning to move to San Diego and remain in Connecticut which is an indicator also that this is a short stint for him...that said he is younger than previous interim CEO...it took them 9 months to fill this and precious full time ceo lasted 10 months
Here lies your problem. You are expecting a CEO with a rockstar profile. Teradata is a C league player so it will attract D players as its CEO. Hell even Uber has a B player as its CEO.
Uber got its ceo from expedia 😀😀 n u became a b or c league player in no time. Ur international ops were sold off, competitors acquired u in china n other places. At least td is here for 40 years. First try to identify ur problems!
I see some products in AWS following the same trajectory
Are you in Cisco or pure storage?
Is it profitable?
Barely for past decades revenues stuck at $2B
One of my friend is planning to join Teradata. Should I tell him not to ?
Yes.
Please tell him not to....here in Santa Clara or San Diego?
San Diego
Hi OP, why and what are they hiring for if it’s a dying company. A recruiter reached out for a staff engineer position.
How's the new CEO?
