Terrible Experience With Coinbase Recruiting
I had the worst recruiting experience with Coinbase. The initial screening and OA was quick but it went downhill very quickly after that. 2 weeks no communication after passing OA, then scheduled virtual onsite interviews and a day after that received an automated rejection email. I had to email the recruiter to check if it was actually a rejection or not (no proactive communication) and found out that it was an error. Then onsite interviews were easy but the interviewers were not interested in the interviews. Solved all the questions. After that 2 weeks of no communication and then the same automated rejection email with no feedback. The recruiter didn't bother to send an email/ call even after reaching onsite stage. Very unprofessional. I would recommend not to waste your efforts and time interviewing with Coinbase. They say a lot of things online about continuous learning, transparency... but they themselves don't follow any of those. I wish I hadn't applied to Coinbase at all.

Honest opinion - this is disappointing but I can’t say surprising…there are many orgs which are great to interview with but I can say our interview process is inconsistent and needs work to be standardized 😕 We haven’t figured out how to interview reliably again after pausing for so long

I am also interviewing these days and had a similar bad experience with many other companies like Media.Net, OCI, Lloyds and Amazon. But my recruitment experience with Coinbase was literally the best so far. The recruiter proactively shared feedback and next steps after each round. I think a lot depends on your luck with the recruiter. Some are nice, some are a*holes.

Similar experience with DE Shaw, wasted my time with 6 rounds of interviews then ghosted. I follow up after 1 month and get a generic rejection email saying “skills don’t match our needs”. No call, no feedback. I had listed my skills on resume, why waste time with interviews if it wasn’t a match to begin with.
