Before I ask where Engineering Managers with outdated knowledge go to die, I want to give refreshing my know how a Chance. Where would I go to learn everything there’s to know about anything from agile methods, Github, architecture, DevOps, etc? Is there some sort of “curriculum” that I should go through so I have a map and landscape to navigate my learning?
Yes, check out Interview Kickstart or other coding programs for professionals
join a startup to learn by doing.
Too big of a paycheck cut. Strategy needs to be different.
Or just start doing it.
I’m not sure where to start. That’s the issue. If I had a map, I could at least orientate myself
Goto medium. Search git how to. Devops how to. Containers how to. Docker how to. Ci/cd how to. That should keep you busy for a while.
Agile is so 00s, watch for post agile stuff.
Here you go the map you wanted... https://github.com/kamranahmedse/developer-roadmap/blob/master/readme.md
That rocks
Dude, did u also become outdated to do simple google searches to find out ur path ???
Dude, your answer is so 2000s. If you don’t like the question, why not skip it? One can always google just about anything, and I’m certainly doing that as well. What’s the issue to ask people if they know about something that you don’t, especially if it’s difficult to structure and prioritize a plethora of topics? See some answers below the really cool Git map how to become a Web Dev in 2019. Tell me the chances that someone finds that by themselves.
Are you from Ariba?
No
Go to Coursera or Educative to pick up whatever MOOC that you like and start hacking. If you have some money to spend, go through the program of a coding academy.
You have to use it. Otherwise you're a danger to yourself and others.
