Not trying to generalize things here...but this was my experience (The interviewer was 2nd level manager) Interviewer: Let me copy-paste the question Me: Okay, I read out the question, ask clarifying questions. (I was hoping to get some clarification) Interviewer: "that's the question which I asked, and you have to solve that". Me: I moved on, and trying to understand the question...after few minutes...told the approach, complexity and different other approaches I could solve it. At this point.... the interviewer points a finger at me on the video and says "YOU....you have to implement the WORKABLE and FUNCTIONAL solution...OKAY... GOT IT. (in a very rude tone) At this point, I was terrified while giving the interview and at the same time I made the decision in my mind that even if I get offer, I would never work for this person. Me: Completes the implementation, walks through the code...walked through edge cases. No reply.. Interviewer: Okay, I have another question. Me: Answers it. . . . completes the interview part. Interviewer: Do you have questions? Me: How do you make sure as a team that everyone is growing and not just focused on individual growth? Interviewer: We don't tell what to do, you go do things...it is up to you how to grow. meanwhile, the interviewer makes fun of my current employer, ( At this point, I was like I really don't want to work for this person) Decided to report this whole session to HR and the manager who reached out to me for this job description. Please stay away if you can!!! #amazon #lab126 #amazononsite #interview

Who are these retards asking for dictatorship in India?
I would suggest to move ahead with the process just for the experience..
Glad you reported the jerk
yikes, sorry OP
You did the right thing. This would have led to a toxic work environment and a lot of stress for you. It’s not worth it . You can definitely get another great opportunity!
Aside from the rudeness and making fun of your employer I don’t disagree with anything else he/she said. You are responsible for your own growth heck ya!
Not entirely true, if the Manager decides to not let you pass then good luck pal !
You are still responsible for pushing yourself ahead. What obstructions lay ahead is another thing. The interviewer was not wrong in what he said. There is nothing wrong with looking for candidates that are driven.
