I am starting to think Chinese interviewers currently fail non-Chinese candidates on purpose.

Thinking of switching to auto industry. How is it working for Tesla as a mechanical engineer? What is the TC breakdown? TC 🥜 YOE 3.5 #tesla #hardware #mechanical
It will be unlike anything you've experienced anywhere else. Promise.
In a good way?
Constant changes to design, then when it changes, you'll be given 1/4 of the time it takes for you to normally do the work; no WLB; always being threatened with losing your job; calls up to midnight to get something done or issued last minute. Other than that, you'll have a blast!
I only have 2.5 years experience so you’d probably be looking at a slightly higher base. Base: $112.5k Stock: $65k at signing, $30k as a bonus after my first year and a half, $20k as a bonus my second year Luckily I joined in 2019 pre-stock-split so the value of my stock is about $2 million. That brings my TC up to ~$365k
Thanks for the info, and congrats! I assume you joined out of college? And are you based in Bay Area?
Yup, right out of college. And I’m based in the Bay Area!
MechE at Tesla, it's hard work but fulfilling. It keeps you on your toes
I’ve heard terrible things about the wlb at Tesla 😅
As long as you get a taste of that sweet ESPP plan it shouldn’t matter what the job is like. All about the stonks.
