Tesla Model Y - advance autopilot

Tesla website says software upgrades (EAP, FSD) are excluded from 55k price cap, however, the govt website is not super clear. Is it better to add EAP later after delivery? Is it even worth to get EAP now with sensors, radars in model y, and the hardware could get updated next year?

Does it matter? Model Y is an SUV and the cap is 80k

Amazon bigshot4 OP Jan 18, 2023

Cap is $80k for 7 seater Y..for 5 seater it is $55k

Wait really?

It doesn’t matter since all new model Y’s come with fsd hardware as standard. If you want to add EAP after taking delivery, it would be a software update that will be added to your vehicle once you pay.

It does not come standard. You need to pay $15k for FSD and $6K for EAP

You didn’t read his comment; it comes standard with FSD *hardware*.

FSD is not FSD. Just don't fall for that.

You basically pays to help collect driving data for Elon while still responsible for crashes. Lol

FSD is not even worth the $3k I paid for it 4 years ago. It's not worth anything close to $15k today.

Have you updated your car recently? The FSD is incredible. Not navigate on autopilot or anything. I am talking about the “go around parked cars on an unmarked street in a residential neighborhood and make unprotected left turns at a stop sign into moving traffic.”- FSD Try it. Definitely worth having a real copilot on the road trip with you.

Do you get any kind of cruise control on the standard package without EAP or FSD?

Trash car.
