Tesla employees, how are you holding up?
It's been hell for all of us in the EV domain, this year. Is the light at the end of the tunnel, any nearer? Doesn't seem like it, after hearing news from Tesla today about another massive round of layoffs. #tesla #teslalayoffs #auto Edit: Typo
Q1 Quarter on Quarter: EV sales are up. Non Tesla EV sales are up. ICE sales are up. Tesla sales are down. This is a uniquely Tesla problem.
The layoff today was in fact real? Thought it was just a rumor
Absolutely, lost 6 more people from our location today. Entire vehicle prep staff is gone, store leadership staff is gone, planning on delivering new cars to customers without washing them, service team gutted. We don’t have enough people to function. I’m showing up to work tomorrow so far out of dress code it doesn’t even matter. There’s no store leadership to stop me until they bring in a temp replacement which will take at least more than a week. Morale is gone. We have lost 3/4 of our staff with tellings there will be more.
Eh, it is what it is. After the initial ‘big’ layoff we had a few weeks and seeing the talent that was let go, it was the last straw for almost all of us. I finally got the hammer yesterday and a lot of weight and pressure came off my chest
What is the primary reason behind this round?
The same reason as the last few; no rhyme or reason, which explains why the morale/mood is so different this time around. We pretty much hearing that the audit is being done by Elon and his level, & seeing his decisions lately I’m not surprised
