Tesla enhanced autopilot reviews

Anyone finds enhanced autopilot useful if you commute to work daily? General comments about autopilot are also welcome.

Would you buy a Musk car as a Twitter employee?

Don’t care. It’s not like Apple is ethical with its labor and we still buy those products.

Yeah but Apple thoroughly tests their product before it gets to the customer. Based on my knowledge of Musk, he only tests what easily passes and removes the rest.

The default auto pilot is good on freeways. Summon is a fancy feature - i have used it couple of times in the last 3 years to show off. Auto park is helpful if the car detects the parking space correctly, but most of the time it doesn’t detect the parking space. Auto lane change works well on freeways with less traffic. My daily commute has heavy traffic and by the time my car puts the indicator and get ready to change the lane, someone else will come and take up that space and the car aborts the lane change.

Do you use lane changes and navigate on autopilot often?

I have disabled auto lane change after too many aborts in heavy traffic. I still use navigate which works well, but i initiate the lane change when i feel the car can safely complete the lane change.

Dude why'd he still use it then?

CrowdStrike 1idn38rn Dec 14, 2022

Basic Auto pilot is fantastic especially in stop start traffic. Obviously when going fast you have to stay alert, I don't use it when traffic is fast but gaps are tight, but it's great for empty highway. Btw FSD isn't worth it, I don't think enhanced autopilot is either. Summon is dumb gimmick except to park in tight space, lane change takes like two seconds to do yourself - navigating interchanges might be useful but I'd be too paranoid to trust it. It is too expensive to be worth it.

Paid 7k for fsd few years ago, I still think it’s useless and not worth (let alone 15k). Basic autopilot is all you need and I kind of disable auto lane change since car makes weird decision. I set it to confirm lane change and mostly ignore the notification. Lane change with indicator is only nice feature but not worth additional $$$

From what others have said, there isnt useful in autopilot except the lane change, I wonder how orange changes from other brands work in right traffic ( there are free others with auto lane change as well)

From what others have said, there aren't many useful/practical features in autopilot except the lane change. I wonder how lane changes from other brands work in tight traffic ( there are free others with auto lane change as well)
