It sounds like your model 3 is safe. But if you preordered an 18-wheeler you might want to make back up plans.

Layoff 9% of total workforce, but EM said all layoffs will be from office workers and not on manufacturing floor. Then what % of office worker would that be? Just curious....
I read somewhere close to 20% as about half of Tesla jobs are factory jobs

Well if anyone is thinking this is impacting your pre-orders/products or the work there, it's not true. More of cost cutting measures.
It's not impacting the orders becaues they never expected to make ontime deliveries to begin with.
Nevada doesn't have WARN. So only 4 weeks of severance and no vesting of stocks.
So far I've only seen/heard employees let go that had very redundant roles, also part of the 9% was the elimination of a lot of job reqs although mission critical reqs remained open.
Also i see job openings and applied. Is it even worth going to tesla now
Area which needs to grow aren’t affected. I still have >5 openings
If it's anything like SpaceX most openings will never be filled faster than the firings and quitings. God speed.
