Why I Find Free Palestine Inspiring
Bought mine in 2018. don’t think you need all wheel. Just get the basic with the autopilot.
Do you really need long range. Because I feel a need to stop my car after every 200 miles of I am going on a long trip
Same. Got mine in 2018. I got dual motor, long range, full autopilot … basically everything but the performance model Highly recommend the long range, great for road-trips. Now if you want slightly more performance, go for all wheel drive but if you’re trying to save money, I’d say skip that one. DON’T skip long range, that alone is worth it
Do you/live go anywhere with snow? If yes, then maybe. If no, then no.
I lived in chicago for 3 years. I used to drive my 2003 model Elantra during winter just fine
ok I’ll rephrase: do you live/go anywhere that’s snowy and high elevations?
The base model 3 only comes with basic autopilot. If you want the full autopilot (FSD) it’s $12k additional. And yes, you want the long range model. In the last 2 weekends, we did a short road trip and the cold weather, keeping the heat at 70 degrees dropped the range by 30%.
Cold weather. Temp?
So we drive to Whidbey island from Eastside. Took I5 and drove around, couldn’t make it back without SuperCharging. It was mid 40s. The range number you get from Tesla assume you will go 30 mph and temp is 60 degrees. Speed, hills and temperatures kill range.
You mentioned WA or CA... With regards to WA I do want to mention that we are not really great with fixing up our roads in the winter, etc. While we get way less snow than Chicago we don't really clean it up - more just wait for it to melt which sometimes can take days hovering around the melting point. Due to this a few friends are thinking about shifting to AWD for their next car in addition to mountain trips etc.
Where’s the poll options
Lol
The 6k more for the extra range and acceleration is definitely worth it. I almost got the SR and I'm so so glad I got the LR.
If budget is low and you can’t pay 6k without it stressing your finances, then don’t get a Tesla Tesla are known for being crazy high in maintenance and expensive because Tesla can markup their prices
Do you own a Tesla? My 2018 model 3 has not given me any issues. I do see 1 recall for fixing the rear camera cable. But my backup camera is still working fine at the moment.
Lol if 6k is a concern for you, you should probably skip getting a Tesla.
Yeah, especially considering even a small tail light replacement would be $5k.
Model 3 is trash
Do you really need a Tesla? It’s a poorly built plastic car.
Autopilot. In any other car?
Even Subaru has Openpilot which is way better than auto pilot.
