Do you like your Tesla and more importantly would you buy it again? Thinking about getting a Y. And does anyone think performance is useful?
It’s awesome. Once you gets one, you won’t get ICE back
I don't understand this comment. What is ICE? Internal combustion engine?
Yes.
Shouldn’t this be a poll?
I’m thinking about getting one but kinda unsure if it’s a bad financial decision. My tc is 170k and I have a small VW buggy. Got into a car accident with it once but it really scarred me. A regular sized sedan barely tapped on my end in a highway going 60 and I nearly flipped over. Now I want to get a bigger car just to have that security of not driving in a deathmobile. but since this is my second car, I don’t know if it’s a irresponsible decision since my first one works fine. Any thoughts?
And not to mention a Tesla is quite expensive, but being from tech, I fangirl for self driving and all the other cool features
Small cars, especially old small cars are a death trap. Working in tech, cars are relatively cheap. Just do it. I had a similar thing happen to me with my old used car after 10 years in my career-got a new Toyota suv and can’t believe I didn’t do it ten years sooner.
No man. They broke into my M3 4 times in 2 years. It’s painful. I will buy Camry 🙂
Broke into? Who’s they?
Short sellers!
Yup! Best car ever driven and can’t imagine any other. The acceleration and instant torque makes it seem like digital vs analog in comparison to driving a gas car. Next car will be either model X or a roadster if the stock continues doing well
Also I am now more than happy to drive for the smallest errands lol. FSD has made road trips or long trips in general so much more pleasurable and less stress. I actually arrive at my location refreshed. Performance is fun if you can afford it otherwise the LR perf is more than enough for average driver!
Do you have a my or m3? How much did you put down? I’m thinking about getting one but weighing whether it is a smart financial decision
I got the m3. Only put 20% down and the rest into the market. Financing is usually a better choice in terms of low interest rates now and return in the market. What’s your financial situation looking like? Like tc credit score etc
Buy a Civic and see your bank balance accelerate faster than a P100!
Serious question for people who like tesla: how do you not just feel like you are driving a gimmicky toy? As a car, it feels so immature.
Honestly it has made me realize how gimmicky other cars. If you take a look at how cars are sold these days with all these upgrades and add ons that don’t ever get better along with all the knobs. The simple fact that Tesla’s can be updated with games and Netflix is already amazing. Add in the speed and how it handles it makes other cars look old. Granted there are growing pains with Tesla as they scale but to me the benefits outweigh the cons. Just YouTube Tesla fsd beta and your mind will be blown. Growth is exponential but we tend to think linearly.
We are also conditioned to think other car makers are the standard but there aren’t any real product differentiaters from them hence we think they are the standard but in my eyes they’ve gotten too comfortable with the human experience of owning a car.
About to buy my first Tesla - does buying a Tesla work on a referral basis? If someone who either owns one or works at Tesla can advise, that’d be awesome
Yeah you get free 1k super charging miles! DM if you want a referral, no biggie if you don’t!
Own a 3. Would do it again, for sure. Performance is if you're ok throwing some money to get tons of fun. But I don't know is that "useful" for you. Mine isn't performance and I still like how it launches, keep doing it at least weekly.
