At Google you should join before the end of calendar year in order not to miss one year of performance review. How about at Tesla? is performance evaluated yearly or by halves like at Facebook? Is there a recommended period of the year to join? Thank you,
As far as I know... There's never a fixed cycle in Tesla.. In my past 3 yrs of work experience here I only got one "official" performance review.. I stress on the word official because that's the company wide review that happened. Various reasons impact the review cycle not to mention the latest one supposed to happen in Mar 2020 got cancelled indefinitely due to π. Now the spice: Your individual performance and impact matters a lot. If you prove your different from the norm and can think out of the box to deliver excellence you will be rewarded outside typical cycle.. To summarize things.. there is one company wide annual review process and one out of cycle review annualy.. the later is pure excellence and merit based... The former is general team performance distribution cycle
