What are some good resources on test automation framework design and best practices? Most system design come with good suggestions on YouTube channels but there doesn’t seem to be good resources or one people agree on for test automation. What are some useful resources you have come across for learning test automation design and best practices? YOE: 1.5 TC: 90k #sdet
There is no one pattern or best practices that will work for all types of tests. I share some best practices if you let me know what type of system is under test.
For example a ML recommendation system are there any suggestions for that? I guess in general I’m failing to understand why software has design patterns and test automation we don’t hear much besides like page object model
There are not many bright SDETS folks in the first place. I can try to write up something about ML systems if you can share more out put the system.
I think it is because test automation design principles varies a lot from target product under tests. For software products it is different strategies that works and for hardware automation is different. I have seen and used ARMs workload automation framework for hardware facing automation and it is quite well written and good example in automation framework in open source world.
