Anyone know how many were laid off at Socure?
How much severance did people get?
13% check layoffs.FYI
Looks like the jobs weren’t so socure
It was the marketing, hr departments mostly. Engineering and other teams least affected. They said they got cash for 2 years
Do you mean that the people laid off received cash for two years?
F**k no. Company got cash for 2 yrs to survive. More layoffs likely.
Here’s an article on Socure layoffs: https://www.forbes.com/sites/jeffkauflin/2022/06/17/high-flying-unicorn-socure-lays-off-13-of-staff-as-troubles-in-fintech-spread/?sh=10e12eec606c
Wow... I went to the glassdoor reviews after reading the above article. Only recent positive ones are authored by VPs 😂 Sounds like a pretty messed up place even before the layoffs
I read the Greenhouse reviews too. Lol, sounds like that place sucks. It’s not very responsible for a CEO to highlight some other exec buying a Lamborghini—like they were in some macho-pretending fraternity or something, Reminds me of the way LogRhythm execs used to boast about their new cars and million dollar houses. And now LogRhythm absolutely sucks to work at with all the changes there. Socure is going down the same path. That CEO is def an overgrown frat boy.
how about India teams ? is it safe to join. please reply I have an offer from them, HR said India teams are not affected. should I trust HR and join ? I have another offer from a different company as well
It does seem like the layoffs and the reorg provided a clearer vision for the company. Even in the article, it says there are a couple years of runway - financially speaking. I can’t promise you are “safe” from future layoffs but it would be pretty surprising if they did a second round anytime soon. But, what do I know?
Thanks for your view
