Texas Instruments Offer

Can anyone from Texas Instruments explain how the "Non Qualified Stock Options" work? I have received "x" amount of Non Qualified Stock Options as part of the sign on equity in the offer letter. Now after googling it seems like I will have to buy those stocks at the initial grant price, when they are vested. Is that the case? Please help. @texasinstruments @texas @ti
