The Canadian Dream
It’s as clear as day that the American dream is dead. Is Canada the new land of dreams and opportunities? A while back, a career in tech as a SWE/PM was the holy grail until tik tok influencers and boot camp grads started making “A day in the life” videos on YouTube thus alerting every Tom, Dick and Harry that there’s an entire goldmine waiting to be shared in this industry. Well, the field got overcrowded and we’re back to square one. A similar thing, I think is happening to Canada. There are so many immigration influencers spreading the word that Canada is super-easy to immigrate to. This has seen a sharp rise in immigrants applying to go to Canada. As it stands, Canada is now swamped with immigrants in-waiting and immigrants to-be. People who find opportunities, WHY CAN’T YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP? Must you make a Tik tok and a YouTube video announcing it? A whole industry was ruined and now easy immigration loopholes are being closed. Look at what you’ve done. TC: 180k

The 2nd amendment makes this country dangerous, that is right. However it was always like this, this doesn’t make American dream dead. The US is still a better place to reveal and utilize your talents. My children go to school, yes. I live in a very clean, safe place but thinking to move in the bay.

Canada is a scam. Shitty healthcare , more taxes, high cost of living, low salary, no family. I am saying this from the perspective of a person from IT. Not sure about other type of jobs.
other types of jobs definitely have it way worse. the amount of taxes canadians pay is insane, and on top of low salaries compared to the US, it’s no wonder so many canadians are disgruntled. trudeau seems to be doing nothing about it as well.

Going by that logic, here are a few thoughts from a supposed American: You guys immigrate to the US to make more money here and afford better cars and houses. Do you really have to announce this to the world and your extended families in India and China? US is now swamped with immigrants waiting in line for their GC or those wanting to come to the US. People are committing frauds to get in line and bringing their entire family and their brides here later. Must you tell everyone? Look at what you've done.
