Hey Disney friends out there, What is the work culture @Disney for software engineers at Orlando, FL location. Do Disney convert contract employees to full time employees? If so how long do usually takes to convert to FTE. TIA:) TC: 0$
Experiences vary to be sure. I've never made more money in my life. Before I worked for the Mouse I always felt that I was underpaid. I guess now that LTI is stock instead of cash I'm teetering on feeling underpaid again. But that's not what you asked. I know a number of people who joined as contractors around the time I joined as a CM who are now CMs themselves.

What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
It’s a sweatshop work culture of exploitation and low pay. They milk that Disney brand for everything it’s worth.
I think you're referring to hourly parks workers. They, unfortunately, are very overworked and underpaid. Salaried tech jobs, though, are paid pretty well and definitely compete with the industry average. It's not FAANG level of pay, but a P3 (senior engineer) in Florida can make a base of around 150K give or take a little. The LTI can easily make that a TC of 200K+. The work/life balance is the best part, in my opinion.
