The math behind TC
I’ve lived in the east coast all along where base is all that matters, so I’m unfamiliar with the SF Bay Area concept of TC. How does TC exactly work? Let’s say you are offered 150K in base and 160K in RSUs that vest over 4 years annually. So, in this particular case, is the TC 310K or 190K (base + 160K/4)?
190K. It’s your annual total compensation.
Also bonuses are part of it. The Blind TC doesn’t add in other parts and benefits to TC, like ESPP, 401k, free food, etc.
What’s a typical TC for someone with 8-10 yoe (how does this typical TC break down in terms of base vs. stock)?
